The “BOOTING IN SAFEMODE NETWORK” BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) error may appear during the initialization process for Windows XP, Vista, 2000, 2008, and Windows 7 and 8. Press Delete Com Error Number: 0x000000A9 key to delete the file that is causing the BSOD error, and then restart the computer.

You can also try loading the last known good configuration to resolve the BSOD error, which is a recovery option for all versions of Windows. To access the Windows Advanced Options Menu, you have to start the computer and press the F8 key before the Windows Logo appears on the screen. Use the arrow key to highlight Last Known Good Configuration and then press Enter.
