The BOOTLOG_ENABLED BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) error may appear during the initialization process for Windows XP, Vista, 2000, 2008, and Windows 7 and 8. It means that Boot Logging is active and the emergency shutdown of the computer is implemented to prevent damage and data loss. The bootlog contains a list of all programs that are loaded during the boot process, and is used as an aid to diagnose errors that happen during the boot process.
The BSOD error is usually caused by an unstable registry system or corrupted files, such as damaged system files that result in startup errors. Damage to system files are usually incurred from the incomplete uninstall of programs, incomplete software installations, recovery of the system from malware and spyware attack, and the use of improper methods in deleting applications and devices.
This BSOD error is also known as “BOOTLOG_ENABLED” and “STOP 0x000000B7“. Some users of Windows OS have reported this error, which normally appears on the screen during the initialization of the system.
You can resolve the “BOOTLOG ENABLED” BSOD by employing System Restore procedures. This process allows the computer to recover from system errors and other problems by reverting the state of the computer to an earlier point. To do this, click on the Start button, then successively click on All Programs, Accessories, System tools, and then select System Restore. When the next window appears, select the option Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next. Select the most recent restore point from the list that appears on the screen, and then click Next. Follow the prompts that appear on the screen, and then restart the computer when the restoration has been completed.
You can also try loading the last known good configuration, which is a recovery option for all versions of Windows. Start the computer and then press the F8 key before the Windows Logo appears on the screen. This allows you to access the Windows Advanced Options Menu. Use the arrow key to highlight Last Known Good Configuration and then press Enter.
