Disable Windows XP Error Reporting

Disable Windows XP Error Reporting
Click the Advanced tab, then Error Reporting.

The Windows XP Error Reporting box is something that most users of Windows XP have encountered lots of times. This box appears when any application or Windows XP itself runs into an error. The operating system then sends this error to Microsoft to find bugs and help them in improving future versions.
Since Windows XP is barely supported by Microsoft anymore, it’s anyone’s guess whether this error reporting are actually helpful for Microsoft in any way. Most users would rather continue with what they’re doing without this tool getting in the way.
Disabling the Error Reporting tool is done by following these easy steps:

  1. Right-click on My Computer on your desktop or in the Start Menu and click Properties
  2. Click the Advanced tab
  3. Click Error Reporting near the bottom right of the window
  4. In the pop up window, select Disable Error Reporting and click OK to apply the changes

It is also recommended to select But Notify Me When Critical Errors Occur just below Disable Error Reporting, so when something goes extremely wrong with your system, you can have it fixed right away or have an expert resolve the issue.
