Buchanan Computing SignPlot

Buchanan Computing is a traffic sign software that uses structural designs for traffic and highway applications in the British Isles. SignPlot is one of its products which automates the layout and spacing rules of the Signs Regulations (TSRGD 2002) and Traffic Signs Manual. It has designs of UK traffic signs, foundations and supports, DfT spacing and layout rules that can be automated when required, automatic rebuild for any sign details or design, and road layout changes. The software features a Regulatory Sign Generator for 50 various TSRGD diagrams and permitted variants, it has translation capabilities and are able to translate into WElsh for Bilingual plates, and a built-in x-height calculator which uses the DfT formula. Sizing and positioning of texts and symbols is automated as well as the selection of correct alphabet, it uses a spell-checker through the Microsoft Word dictionary, and it provides hints and tips that guides users to avoid possible errors. It also features a built-in SignLoad, which is UK's mos economical post and foundations design. The software meets te DfT design standards and avoids layout errors through early correction.
